Chains & heels & flowers- oh my!

Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle parked in the construction area of the new nature trail at Bethesda Park. At first, no occupants could be seen, and so the police checked back periodically during the day. During one of the checks, officers noticed a male figure, and approached the car, asking him to step out. As the suspect exited the car, he was mostly naked, wearing only an assortment of straps, chains, women's high heel shoes, and artificial flowers. His genitalia were exposed and wrapped in chains. He was identified as a 42 year old man from Clarkston. He admitted to police he was alone, and told them, "no I am not gay or anything I am just a pervert". He was arrested for Public Indecency, and taken to jail. During a search of his vehicle, officers found pornographic magazines, and a large bag containing miscellaneous sex objects, including straps and chains.

Free beer: two dollars each

A 37 year old mother was arrested for shoplifting a 6 pack of beer from the Kroger on Singleton Road. She told officers she stole the beer because she could sell each beer for two dollars to the Mexicans. She had concealed the beer in her purse, and attempted to leave the store without paying. Her two children were with her at the time of the theft, so they were released to a friend.

You don't bring me flowers anymore

According to police reports, a 31 year old man from Loganville was involved in a domestic dispute over whether he or his wife would plant flowers in the front yard. All three of their children were present during the altercation.  He hurt his wife physically, and destroyed items in the home.  He left the scene, only to return later to then be arrested for Battery and Cruelty to Children. He was taken to the Gwinnett County jail.

Seen saw?

Some person(s) unknown forced entry into Monolith Commercial Cabinet Company at 2066 West Park Place Blvd, Stone Mountain, and removed 2 Makita 10" sliding compound miter saws. The two saws were taken from workbenches located inside the main warehouse portion of the building. They were valued at approximately $1,400.00. The perpetrator(s) had to unscrew the saws from the benches.  No loose screws were located and the padlock attached to the exterior gate was also taken.  According to the report, both saws are likely to have the word "Monolith" engraved on their casings.

Loganville man gets attacked at his home by suspect armed with a machete

A Loganville man was watching TV with some friends, when a suspect beats on the door yelling he will kill him. According to police reports, the victim and suspect did not know each other. The male suspect, 24, of West Springs St., Monroe, admitted to having 12 beers, and busted the windshields of the victim's vehicles, and threatened the victim while armed with a machete. The victim was able to get a cinder block piece for his defense, and after throwing it towards the suspect, missed him, but cracked the windshield of the vehicle.  The suspect then retreated back to his vehicle, started the engine, and rammed the victim' s car in the driveway, damaging the front end.  When police arrived, the suspect was arrested for Aggravated Assault and Criminal Damage to Property. 

Convicted felon caught carrying loaded firearm in Lawrenceville

Officers responded to a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of Patterson Road and Patterson Court in Lawrenceville.  The driver turned out to be convicted felon, a male, 22, of Summerville Dr., Lawrenceville.  He had 2 active warrants outstanding, and had a loaded 38 colt in the trunk of his car. He was arrested and taken to jail.

Beer, There and Everywhere

A 54 year old man of Mountain Ct., Stone Mtn., was arrested for DUI when a passerby witnessed a hit and run and called 911.  Gwinnett police tracked the vehicle to the Mountain Ct. address, and noticed the front of the truck was in the driveway, and the remaining three quarters were in the roadway.  The suspect, noticeably intoxicated to the police, had eleven unopened cold  cans of Budweiser beer in an open eighteen pack, and 3 empty cans on the passenger side floor.  There was also an open, half empty, and still cold can in a cup-holder. There were also many empty beer cans in the bed of the truck. The man was transported to the county jail where he admitted he had been arrested for DUI fourteen times.

Road Rage Incident on Hwy 78

Police reported a victim and suspect were involved in a verbal altercation at the Quick Trip parking lot, after a road rage incident on Hwy 78 near West Park Place.  The victim's right rear tire had been slashed as he was in the store buying items.  He notified police, and the suspect was identified as a doctor, 52, of Castlewood Dr., Lilburn.  He was placed under arrest after he first denied having a sharp object that would be used to slash the tire.  Upon admitting he did have a small pocket knife used to clean his nails, he then showed the officer the pocket knife, and the officer observed a small black rubber piece that blew off the knife as he presented it.  The suspect was then placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass, handcuffed, and transported to the jail.
